Dear IEEE members and friends,

Our first event for 2010 is a planning & networking dinner on the 8th of March beginning at 7 pm at Berth Restaurant at 45 New Quay Promenade, Docklands.

Over the past few years the WIE has been run by a small team of dedicated people and we've organised a very successful program of events - ranging from networking, career-oriented and technical events, and outreach activities for high schools - if you have an interest in any of these activities, and would like to become involved, do come along and become a committee member. Please feel free to invite friends as well.

This occassion will also be an opportunity for the WIE to also mark a symbolic occasion - the International Women's Day !!

As another item of news, the Victorian WIE Chair will be an invited speaker at a Women in Engineering and Science (WIES) Lunch Event organised by the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science, Victoria University on March 23rd.
